My story

The MON HISTOIRE (My Story) project is part of the awareness mission adopted by Cities Without Violence regarding violent radicalization. Cities Without Violence supported this project with the aim of deepening understanding of the processes of engagement and disengagement.

The project is based on a series of testimonies about radicalization, shared by people who lived through it and by those close to them. Each in their own way, with their own words and feelings, describes their journey, giving us access to radicalization seen from the inside – that is, from the point of view of the radicalized person or of their loved ones.

Specific objectives:

• Explain the factors and circumstances that lead to violent radicalization
• Measure the impact of radicalization on loved ones
• Understand what leads toward social reintegration
